Many Hollywood movies have depicted sharks and other large sea creatures attacking people in the ocean. Imagine this happening in real life!
In a horrific incident, a Polish tour company claims that killer whales sank a yacht off the coast of Morocco, CBS News reports. The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday as the yacht was passing through the Strait of Gibraltar. The yacht sank near the entrance to the Tangier Mediterranean port, nearly 30 miles northeast of Tangier in the Strait of Gibraltar.
Warsaw-based tour operator Morskie Mile, which operates the yacht, said a pod of killer whales approached the yacht and “rammed the rudder for 45 minutes, causing severe damage and leaks.”
“This yacht has been the best part of sailing for all of us. Long-lasting friendships are made on board,” said Moskey.
The crew escaped unharmed. After the yacht sank, search and rescue teams and the Moroccan navy tried unsuccessfully to salvage the wreckage.
