The spectacular Hong Kong International Wines & Spirits Fair will be held from November 3 to 5 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, providing an unparalleled platform for the global wine trade, connecting global producers and importers with professional buyers, and opening its doors to the public on November 5.
The 15th edition of the Hong Kong International Wines & Spirits Fair returns to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 3-5, 2023. Organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Asia’s premier wine fair will feature over 500 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions. Wine lovers will have a unique opportunity to explore the finest wines, beers, spirits and other beverages while gaining new insights into the world of wine.
The show’s theme, “Sparkling Business Opportunities for the Wine Industry,” highlights the growth potential for wine merchants as the world emerges from the pandemic. According to data portal Statista, the global wine market is expected to reach US$333 billion in sales this year and continue to grow at an annual rate of 5.52% between 2023 and 2027.
“Hong Kong serves as a strategic hub connecting international traders with consumers in mainland China and other Asian markets. Many wine companies have set up operations in the city to capitalize on the opportunities presented by China’s growing consumer power,” said Sophia Chong, Deputy Executive Director of the HKTDC. “As an elite global trade platform for fine wines, the Wine & Spirits Fair offers tremendous opportunities for local, mainland and international wine companies.”
The fair offers a three-day extravaganza of tastings, seminars and networking events. November 3-4 are trade days restricted to industry professionals and buyers. On November 5, in addition to the sourcing needs of the trade, the public is invited to discover a vast array of fine beverages through tastings.
Samples will range from Old World wines from Italy, Germany and France to New World wines from Australia, Chile and mainland China, as well as whiskies and beers. The show will also showcase the burgeoning world of guochao liquor, featuring Chinese wines from Ningxia and Xinjiang, as well as baijiu from Sichuan.
