Anna Bartle has been appointed the Global Head of Sustainability Content and Engagement at CHANEL, reporting directly to the Chief Sustainability Officer, Kate Wylie. In her new role, Anna is responsible for shaping and managing CHANEL’s sustainability communications and engaging with key stakeholders to further the company’s sustainability goals.
Anna’s background includes a diverse range of sectors, such as beauty, fashion, luxury, FMCG, retail, and technology, with experience in both corporate and agency settings. She spent the last 11 years at The Estee Lauder Companies UK & Ireland, where she served as Vice President of Corporate Affairs and Regional Lead for Sustainability. Her responsibilities included media relations, stakeholder engagement, public affairs, internal communications, crisis management, and the company’s corporate sustainability strategy and social investment initiatives in the region.
Anna’s work in the field has not gone unrecognised; she has been listed in the PR Week Powerbook for six consecutive years, highlighting her as one of the UK’s top PR professionals, particularly in luxury communications. She was also included in the ‘Gurus’ category of The Walpole Power List in 2020. Her role at CHANEL is integral in advancing the brand’s sustainability efforts and ensuring cohesive and effective communication of its goals.
