Paramount Liquor recently held its second annual conference in Hobart, where the company highlighted that the strong growth it has experienced in recent years that has propelled the business to record $500m in revenue for the first time.
The conference gave suppliers and customers the opportunity to engage with the Paramount team, and gain insights into the inner workings of Paramount, and discover new ways to work together.
As part of that ethos of learning more about how Paramount operates as a business, CEO Nathan Rowe opened the conference detailing that Paramount has doubled its revenue since 2020, leading to $500m in revenue for the first time ever.
Attendees where then treated to a number of panel discussions, with Sean Forsyth, Paramount Liquor’s NSW General Manager hosting the Frontline panel with Alex Boon from Pearl Diver Cocktails and Oysters, Sarah Proietti from Maybe Sammy and Storm Evans from Cantina OK! discussing what is happening at the forefront of the hospitality industry.
Anders Sörman-Nilsson, an awarded futurist, author and speaker, delivered a keynote on the future of the world, as shaped by technology, particularly AI, how best to harness technology and what the impact will be to workforces worldwide.
A second panel of industry experts including Annette Lacey the Group Beverage Manager Solotel, Cameron Northway, the owner, operator and general manager of venues Rocker, Beverly Rooftop, Loti as well as drinks agency Sweet & Chilli and online retailer Cocktail Porter and Daisy Tulley, general manager of the Mucho Group discussed opportunities for growth with Gabriel Presutto, Paramount Liquor’s National Business Manager.
Guests also heard from Nathan and Leigh Rowe, along with Paramount’s General Manager National Services Matthew Jeffrey in a live Q&A detailing future plans for growth to product developments and strategies, new website, investment in staff, the rollout of Paramount Connect in Queensland and the forthcoming Paramount Connect X Pilot, which will help larger brands to increase their distribution footprint.
The conference concluded with Paramount’s Awards night to recognise the outstanding efforts of staff and suppliers over the last year. Carlton & United Breweries collected three awards including Supplier of the Year. Best Sales Person of the Year was awarded to Hannah Ferguson Key Account Manager in South Australia, Huw Wilson Key Account Manager in Victoria was named the Employee of the Year and Lachlan Britt Commercial Partnership Manager took home the Mark Rowe MVP trophy.
