The Toyota RAV4 Adventure Off-Road Package II has just been released in Japan, and it brings a new level of ruggedness and off-road capability to the popular SUV. Based on the RAV4 Edge, this package includes several trail-bashing upgrades that make it a truly adventure-ready vehicle.
One of the most significant additions is the inclusion of Wildpeak All-Terrain tires, which provide better traction and performance off-road. The package also includes a suspension lift that increases ground clearance by 10mm, bringing it to 210mm for petrol models and 205mm for hybrid models. This increase in ground clearance allows the RAV4 to tackle rough terrains and obstacles with ease.
Another notable feature is the integrated high-mount roof rails with optional crossbars. These roof rails not only provide additional storage space but also enhance the rugged look of the RAV4 Adventure Off-Road Package II. Additionally, there is a two-tone paint package called ‘Gori Gori’ that adds a textured, matte black finish to the front fascia, mirror caps, and skid plates.
The RAV4 Adventure Off-Road Package II offers a contrasting black roof and rear garnish, as well as a choice between metallic ‘mint’ green called Urban Khaki or an electric ‘Grayish Blue’. The result is a visually striking RAV4 with a tough appearance and solid adventure credentials.
Unfortunately, this package is exclusive to the Japanese market, and there are no plans to bring it to other countries, including Australia. When contacted, a Toyota Australia spokesperson stated that there are currently no plans to offer this variant in Australia, although they are constantly looking for ways to expand their vehicle lineup.
However, if you’re still keen on adding some adventure-oriented features to your RAV4, you can explore the TRD (Toyota Racing Development) Adventure accessories available for purchase from online retailers. These include lower bash plates, red mudflaps, roof racks, and light pods.
While the Toyota RAV4 Adventure Off-Road Package II may not be available in Australia, it’s an exciting addition to the RAV4 lineup in Japan. With its off-road upgrades and rugged styling, it’s sure to appeal to adventure enthusiasts who want more than just a standard SUV.
