Maruti Suzuki India recently announced its sales figures for September 2023. For the said month, the carmaker sold 1,81,343 units, a 2.7 per cent decrease in sales from the same time last year. Meanwhile, the domestic sales for September stood at 1,53,106 units, with exports totalling 22,511 units. A further 5,726 units were sold to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in September 2023, according to Maruti Suzuki’s sales report. The list of best-selling models for the company comprised names such as the Brezza, the Ertiga, the Grand Vitara, the Invicto, and the Jimny. Moreover, a total of 6 Maruti Suzuki models made it to the list of top-selling 7 cars in September. On the sales chart, the market share of entry-level vehicles has drastically decreased, though. The firm sold 873,107 passenger cars between April and September of FY24, an increase of approximately 10 per cent over the 794,550 cars sold during the same time in 2022.
The company also stated that cumulative sales from April to September 2023 were 1,050,085 units. This was the first time that it had sold more than 1 million units in H1. In terms of an increase in monthly sales, Maruti Suzuki has achieved a respectable growth rate thanks to a flurry of new launches, particularly in the SUV sector coupled with CNG options for most models. The CNG versions of the automaker’s most recent launches have been doing well.
