The Yacht Racing Forum is an annual international conference focusing on sailing and yacht racing, while METSTRADE Amsterdam is a globally renowned maritime industry trade fair. Organiser of the event, Bernard Schopfer commented on the new format stating, “This is great news for the Yacht Racing Forum, which will welcome a wider audience and strengthen its role as the leading annual conference dedicated to the sport of sailing. This new concept will increase participation while significantly reducing the event’s carbon footprint.”
The Yacht Racing Forum 2024 is set to take place from November 20th to 22nd and will involve an exclusive guided tour of METSTRADE, focusing on the Yacht Racing Forum partners exhibiting there as well as an introduction to the Design & Technology Symposium and the Business & Marketing Conference.
Show Director of METSTRADE Niels Klarenbeek praised the collaboration stating, “The Forum’s arrival is expected to bolster METSTRADE’s status as a versatile platform that caters to a diverse audience and offers various opportunities for different interests or industries related to yacht racing or the marine sector. We can’t wait to join forces and bring together the world of yacht racing and leisure marine equipment.”
The 2024, 2025 and 2026 Yacht Racing Forum events will take place in Amsterdam, alongside METSTRADE. The event will see the sports’ key personalities from across the globe come together for over three days of conferences, debates and business opportunities.
METSTRADE 2023 will run from November 15th to 17th at the RAI Convention Centre in Amsterdam, celebrating its 35th anniversary.
