Japanese clothing brand WEGO will withdraw from the Hong Kong market after seven years due to the expiration of the lease. While the brand did not disclose specific terms, WEGO regretted telling customers that it would be withdrawing from the Hong Kong market, according to an official statement on its Instagram. The company thanks customers for their support since it expanded into Hong Kong in 2016.
The statement read: “We hope to see everyone again in the future and try different styles of clothing.” MARKETING-INTERACTIVE Viewed on Instagram, netizens were sad that WEGO’s Hong Kong business was suspended. Some expressed support for the brand for more than 10 years, while others expressed the hope that the brand would return to Hong Kong again in the future.
WEGO has branches in Causeway Bay, Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui, offering a wide range of clothing from retro clothing to swimwear. MARKETING-INTERACTIVE has contacted WEGO for more information.
