Since its first launch in summer 2021, the modern Tissot PRX collection has quickly become one of the cornerstones of affordable watch collections. Already available in a wide range of sizes, materials, colors and movements, the PRX collection is, for many enthusiasts, the gateway drug into the white-hot world of integrated bracelet sports watches.
For its latest release, Tissot has incorporated the PRX silhouette into its most improbable iteration yet, a move that honors the brand’s history while potentially ushering in a whole new ’70s revival among watch fans. The new Tissot PRX digital series brings a more refined all-digital wearing experience to a new generation of enthusiasts, accurately capturing the high-tech spirit of the late 70s in a tried-and-tested fan-favorite package.
Available in 35mm and 40mm wide sizes and in stainless steel or gold, the case of the new Tissot PRX Digital collection follows the template of the three-hand model. The same clean lines, sharp polished case-side chamfers, flat brushed surfaces and raised polished bezel are present and illustrated here, but these new models are instantly recognizable by their complete lack of crowns. Instead, three simple polished pushers at 2 o’clock, 4 o’clock and 10 o’clock handle the various functions that the PRX Digital has to offer. This small shift doesn’t significantly alter the character of the PRX’s design in the original images, but it should still sport the base model’s integrated bracelet charm on the wrist. Tissot equips all variants of the PRX Digital with simple solid casebacks and gives the watch a respectable 100m water resistance.
