The Madison County Arts Council is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated annual Community Fashion Show, scheduled for Saturday, August 5. The vibrant event will unfold within the artistic confines of the Madison County Arts Center, nestled at 90 S. Main St. in Marshall, N.C.
Described by its organizers as a fusion of eccentric design and comedic entertainment, this one-of-a-kind fashion gala promises an evening of local amusement and style.
The evening will be artfully hosted by the dynamic Chad Wilderness, joined by the charming barista, AJ, who takes on the role of co-host. An ensemble of local models will strut their stuff to the electrifying rock melodies of guitar virtuoso El Hub, complemented by the rhythmic prowess of Danni Iosello on drums.
In an exciting enhancement, lighting effects for this year’s show will be brought to life by Johnny Crash, renowned for his captivating sculptural visuals showcased at the iconic Burning Man event.
Underlining the essence of local pride, the event’s designers and models all hail from Madison County. Their innovative creations will not only demonstrate the imagination that thrives within the community but also highlight the remarkable talents present in the region.
The evening’s festivities kick off with doors opening at 7 p.m., followed by the main show at 7:30 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to contribute a suggested donation of $10 at the entrance, which goes toward supporting the arts.
For those seeking an elevated experience, a VIP pre-show gathering is on offer from 6 to 7 p.m. This exclusive package includes coveted front-row seating with plush cushions, delectable snacks, refreshing beverages, and surprise gift envelopes.
The allure of the runway extends beyond the event itself, as many of the showcased pieces will be available for purchase post-show. These items will also be showcased throughout the month of August at the Madison County Arts Council Gallery, providing an extended opportunity to appreciate and acquire the local artistic brilliance on display.
The Madison County Arts Council invites all to come and revel in this fusion of fashion, art, and community spirit. As the spotlight shines on Marshall’s creativity, it’s an occasion that celebrates local talent and reinforces the importance of artistic expression within the heart of North Carolina.
